I have used them 4 times, never had an issue. So far so good. The prices seem reasonable.
Hotwire, you are fine, but you should drop ACE. They are a bait and switch, with prices much higher than advertised. And they are understaffed.
Stay with 4 star hotels and above and you'll get a deal. If you're smart you can do Internet sleuthing to figure out which hotel you're going to get before you purchase. I've gotten so many good deals off Hotwire and have never once been disappointed. Just know what you're getting into going in.
I’m giving my review two stars only because of Vince.I booked a 4 night hotel stay with HW in December 2020 to San Francisco,my flights were cancelled due to Covid,i was on live chat to someone called ‘Ira’ for 90 minutes then she disappeared ????,two days later i thought i’d try again and was on live chat for 60 minutes with someone called ‘Gilbert’,he too disappeared ????,my 3rd and last time was to Vince on live chat for 30 minutes,during this time he called my hotel to see if it was ok to refund me and also checked with BA to make sure my flight had been cancelled,Vince told me he had authorised a full refund,which i got 10 days later,so to you Vince i tip my hat,the other two,i really hope you get the same service from someone someday as you gave to me????.

October 10th. We also booked a 1 night stay with Best Western for the night before and booked our parking for the cruise. On August 6th I was advised the cruise had been canceled. I immediately called the Parking company to cancel my reservation and had no problem doing it. I then called Best Western to cancel my one night stay there. They said they could not cancel because I had booked through Expedia. I then called Expedia and they had no record of my reservation. After several calls to Best Western and Expedia I found out that I had apparently booked through Hotwire which is a subsidiary of Expedia. By this time it is the next day. I then called Hotwire to cancel my reservation. They would not let me do it. They said no matter what the reason for cancellation, I could not cancel because I had received a "special rate" for the room. Covid cancellation did not mean a thing to them. Thank goodness the Cruise Line and Parking Company understood that cancelling was not my choice. Covid caused the cruise to be cancelled! Do not misunderstand. This was not Best Western not letting me cancel. It was Hotwire! My wife and I are retired. Before Covid we took 2 or three cruises a year. We did land vacation here and in Europe several times a year. Even now we have cruises booked for January and October of 2021
2 months ago I posted hotwire would not give a refund on a non cancellable car rental for this summer. Today I received an email saying the refund has been approved. Needed to update and say they came though. Thank you hotwire.
